Ok - this was our neighbour, NOT us!!
Not a Sunline, thank goodness! So, the guy beside us empties out his black water tank (whew!), and then runs a hose down it to clean it out. So far, so good, right? Then he sees an old buddy that has just arrived in the Park, and runs down to meet him. Yakky-yakky, 15-20 mins later we see water running out of his trailer. The black tank had filled up, the toilet had filled up & was overflowing all over the trailer....
Major mess, and thank goodness it was HIM who had done this, and not HER!! And they say women do all the talking...

I know someone that this exact same thing happened to also. It was a guy as well. They were flushing out and he started filling the black tank through the back flush, and then started talking to the neighbor.
Not too long later his wife comes screaming out of the fifth wheel and yells for him to turn off the water. It had come up through the toilet seal and was cascading down the stairs into the living room area...

Of course in both your stories it was the guy who did it. Because it's the GUY who always gets stuck emptying the dumb things, at least in our family.
My wife LOVES camping, etc, but if I were to mandate that she emptied the holding tanks next time, we would NOT be going camping, ever!

HELLO, female tank emptier here and since I started camping in '96 I NEVER have over filled the black tank while rinsing. Good thing Gary is in charge of that now, 'cause I'm sure the previous statement would come back to haunt me real soon.

Ok, I must admit - it is NOT my job to empty stinkpots! Ron would get the same answer/reaction as I do when I ask HIM to do the dishes, lol!

Its another trick by men. Emptying the tanks is a simple task, one pulls the big valve, waits for silence, closes the big valve, pulls the little valve, waits for silence, closes the little valve.
It's a once every three day event or so. Dishes are three times a day.

In 4 years on the road living fulltime in our Sunline, if Cindy ever came outside while I was emptying the Black Tanks I'd be amazed. If this was up to her, we might as well sell the camper right now

First I'd rather dump then change a 'creamy diaper'.
Second, the one time Ginny dumped we were on our way back from Alaska in our Motorhome and I dropped the end of the tow vehicles hitch on my big toe. The next day she volunteered to dump; true love I'm sure.
I will say it was definitely not worth the pain to have her dump.

Speaking of dumping, have you ever seen the bumpersticker:
BACK OFF, OR I'LL FLUSH! I love it, and if I ever see it, I will pick it up.

Ron & Alice,
CafePress has one (#25241551) with a classC on it. You can get to CafePress by clicking on "shop" at the top of the page. They have quite a few Sunline items, too.
