Always good to do your first weekend out near a Walmart or similar store! Camp with pen & paper and jot down all the things you are missing......we always camp with friend for MDW/E - one of us usually has a missing item or two & hopefully our camping friends have that item!!! LOL

Off to RB Winter State Park on Thursday through Monday. Even though we have camped for a month at local campground prior, I get giddy as a school kid when it's time to head up to the mountains for the Memorial Day weekend. Needless to say I have a shortimers attitude here at school. Everyone enjoy and safe traveling to your destination.

Heading out on Monday too, for the UP. Indian Lake State Park near Manistique. Will be entertained by the traffic heading south as we head in my favorite direction, north! We will be at least an hour from a WM, so if we need something I will have to build it. Safe travels everyone.

You betcha. My memories of tenting are close enough to haven't faded yet but today I believe the camping experience shouldn't involve shoes and flashlights in the middle of the night and does include a light in the fridge.

Hey phillong, you guys are just down the road from us about 7 miles on rt. 192. Never stayed at Hidden Valley but looks pretty decent. Don't know where you are traveling from but you are welcomed to stop in at RB Winter SP. Just go west on Rt. 192 and you will come upon park on right. we are in site 39. Not hard at all to find. Enjoy meeting you.
We will be running around throughout the weekend, but please stop in.

PS- Get Chicken from Chic BBQ at Green Ridge Country Market, ask office they will tell you how to get there, very easy. Too die for, I like the leg quarters, we will be down Fri. at lunch to take back Fri. dinner. They are open Fri/Sat.
We will be running around in white Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Not real busy around there, may just run into us.

We are heading to Three Valley Resort Campgrounds in Holland, NY on Friday. This is our first outing this year and first time to these campgrounds. The weather looks like it will be a little on the cool side but mostly sunny. Can't wait!
