Looking for tv mount..

I am trying online to find a reasonably priced tv mount for under one of my camper's cabinets..but I want to be able to remove the tv when at home or if we have company at the dinette which we presently use as a bed.. This is a 19" LCD set that only weighs about 5lbs. What have you all used (w/removable mounting plate or such) ? How do you determine which will work with your tv?
Question #2...
I cannot reach my ceiling lights!!!!..I know some of you installed wall switches on yours...how about some pointers and pics.
#3....
I have a single light over my sink (under a cabinet) I have an unused double that I would like to use. However, the wires coming out to the single are multiple and soldered on,while the new double fixture has only one wire to use..(DH was always my electrical fixit person, but dementia has now ended his knowledge of anything). Thanks...Janalee. (still lurking around..lol!)

In our big house my wife can't reach the reset button on the smoke detector that signals when dinner is finished cooking so I keep an old wood yardstick in the corner as an "arm extender". Maybe a 3 foot length of wood dowel, suitably decorated, would help. It is also handy for pushing the ceiling vent fan button while seated.

I used something like this in our last camper. one plate stays on wall while mating plate stays on tv. just snaps on and off easily.

Jim..I need an "arm" on it..it needs to extendi from a corner and so I need either a wall mount or ceiling (under the cupboard) with that removable feature..but ty!
Gene..I have been doing this but when it's dark we can't even find the fixture! Lol! Think I will get two of those battery operated "touch on" types!

Gene,

I take it that your wife NEVER reads these post or you are on a permanent diet!

OR, your now the cook!

And, single!

Janalee,

This is the wall mount I installed with my 19" AC/DC TV in the 1983 T-1550. I ordered both online and had them delivered to a store near me for pickup. (the page wouldn't load)

I'll check tonight to see how easy it is to attach/unattach the mount on TV back to the swivel arm.

Hey Bunjin...I am looking at the specs right now. It looks good but this is for the moho I just got and I will have to check for studs. Let me know when you find out about the release. Under cabinet mount would be my best option but I can't find the quick type. Thanks!

Be careful mounting it there were holes in the side of my camper when I bought it seems a previous owner kind of used screws that were a bit long by an inch or so right through the siding. The walls are not very thick. I would think any place that sells TV's will have mounts you'll just have to find one that you can dismount the TV with out having to unbolt it. A small TV like that most likely is a 4X4" mount.

Thanks for the pics..I compared them to one I found on ebay, and I think the ebay one will be better for me. It extends more so I can get the degree of turn necessary to view from the chair AND dinette (which is now my bed) . The ebay item is the same price as yours and has the same type disconnect. Thanks for your help!

Pic. 1) Top picture.
Shows TV in viewing position for in bed and or lounge. White cord is to the leaf antenna. TV can also be angled to view from dinette area although the set is rather small for that distance.

Pic. 2)
TV tucked against wall/valance for travel etc.

Pic. 3)
TV detached from mount and one is looking at the swing-arm assembly.
Note that in addition to the lower cost I also chose this mount for this TT for the large surface area and the ability to mount with vertical, horizontal or both hardware.
This is mounted on an outside wall with screws I provided. I can't remember if I went into a stud or not as I had to consider right and left as well as getting up under the cabinet and having clearance to do so.
I'll comment on the screws below.

Pic 4)
Looking at back of TV laying on bed. NOTE: I cut the lower right (as you look at back) on mount plate to better allow access to the input jacks on this TV. It wasn't totally necessary as I may not really use them, but this will also vary from TV to TV. This TV is an AC/DC with DVD player. An excellent price online at Walmart. As NOTE: the allen wrench in the one screw that had to be removed to detach TV. The screw above it just has to be loosen. See "U" notch in picture #3. Also I bought both the mount and TV from the same place. Saved some money doing so. The mount is well made and durable. One can get more bang for the buck buying online than the brick and mortar stores from what I could see.

Pic 5)
A screw I used to replace the supplied hardware for mounting to wall. It is eighter a # 12 or 1/4" x 1 1/2" philips head pan sheet metal screw. I supplied the screw and ground the tip down to create a 1 5/16" long screw so as not to go through wall to outside. I also pilot drilled my hole. This is esp. important with the stud as being of age it may splinter otherwise. The screw head has an O.D. of .465 and the major tread dia. is .254 with the minor or root being .187. BTW, the 9v battery is just for scale. I measured the screw after I got to work and those dimensions are in the text above.

Pic 6)
Just showing the allen wrench, mount plate screw and my screw. NOTE: the picture doesn't show the tip ground here. Also I chose this screw because I had it, it had a large surface area to thread ratio and I didn't need a washer as the mount plate has holes of nearly 1/2".

I have the perfect solution!

From here I can't post a photo but go to Camping World and look up item #71955. It's a swing arm mount that comes with two wall brackets to mount on the wall in two different places. The swing arm with the TV on it lifts out of the one mounted bracket and slides into the other one mounted someplace else.

I have one wall bracket in the bedroom of the camper and the other in the living space. I just pick up swing arm and TV and move it. It's pricy at $65 but for a specialty item that fits the need perfectly, it was worth it.

Just remember when these mounts are extended there is a lot of leverage at work so make sure your install is pretty rugged. Here is my mount the oven became a TV

Nice job mainah! You guys from up "nawth" are so talented!! I got the same type mount as you linked, with less extension, for my little 19" LCD that weighs only about 6 lbs. It will come off for travel..and yes, I am aware of the leverage factor--you are talking to someone who has lost and/or damaged three rv bumpers trying to carry two bikes-two Sunnies and one moho! And all had been using different bike racks! Sold the bikes to pay off the welders-LOL!
P.S. any newbies out there---don't even try it!! Janalee

Oh yea. I see Mainah's post and forgot to mention that the expensive one I found was the only one I saw that fits smaller TV's like my 13" (VESA 75 to 100) Mainah's is made for larger ones and cheaper.
