Looking for information on Pa route 144.

Any one have any information on route 144 from Galeton at route 6 to Snow Shoe at Interstate 80. I have been on 219 a bunch of times and the same thing for route 15. Thought I try a different route for a change of scenery. We have been up and down Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado with out any problems.

I think I can! I think I can!! I think I can!!!

I have been on much of that stretch, with the exception of the last few miles to 80. (Its possible I was on the section labeled "ridge road" near 80 on a different trip. If indeed this was the same road, it was one of the strangest terrain section I have ever seen in PA. Table top flat road on top of a hill, not sure it was paved everywhere.

I am afraid 144 can not compete with the other two roads you have mentioned. It will take you longer, and although its not too steep, its a slow valley road in many places.

Let me know if you decided to try, after my rave review

After your glowing report we are going to go for it on RT144. Got a Trip-Tik from AAA and looked at Google maps, looks like an interesting road. We are planning an all day trip. Give you the full report at the M&G
