The recall was for 1998 trailers, not 1997. The recall was for wheels bearings in the Dexter Axles. Here is the link I just found via Google. I have more info on the whole recall somewhere that I think explained when exactly the units affected were built (date1 to date2). I'll have to find that and put it up here. In the meantime, it would be a good idea to have the bearings repacked anyway, and at that time the dealer could inspect the bearings for this defect. I don't know if there would have been some sort of paperwork passed down that this service was done or not, but it's always a good idea to physically pull it apart and inspect each bearing.
