Lake George camping/meeting Sunline owners
So we went to the top of Lake George and camped at Brookwood, which 1979Sunline (from here on our site) recommended. Met him and his little boy. So nice to meet other members and we had a nice visit. We had a bit of a bumpy start at the campground, but overall it was very nice and we will go back again! The other campers were super nice ! Several stopped to visit, discussing trucks or travel trailers.
On a walk, we stopped to see another Sunline. There was quite the group of people sitting around so we did not go too close and did not see exactly what model it was. The owners came over to the road to talk to us. They said this was their third Sunline and they ordered it and went to the factory to see it being built!! How cool is that? (Maybe many from this site have done the same thing, but I found it really fun to imagine that!).

It wasn't a real common thing, but people did do it. I never had the chance to, though I did visit the factory twice, when they were building 2001s and 2007s.
The last person to actually see their trailer built that I can think of is Pat and Cindy (EMAM). They didn't get to see theirs on the line- it had just finished when they got there- but they have some of the best pictures of the factory that I've ever seen. I wish I could have backed up out of the moment and taken pictures while I was there.

It all worked out fine, no worries!
The campground is not only close to all Lake George has to offer, but just a 10 min. drive to Fort Ticonderoga for any history buffs. The village of Ticonderoga has a lovely park with waterfall and the Ticonderoga pencil museum as well !

Deb,
See here for a mini factory tour. We use to have more but cannot seem to find them.

Keep clicking "next picture" There are several in there.
I think Galaxy Driver may have some as well. I thought he was able to see his coach being made.

The one that they're putting corner moldings on is a 1950. The two in final inspection are 257SRs.
The Solaris Lite designation used to represent multiple floorplans, from 1950 through 2475. They dropped the Lite designation around 2005 and everything became Solaris again. To have blue stripes like this though, it's a 2005-07. The 2005 has the little swoosh things at the ends of the front/rear stripes going the opposite way than the 2006-07 style.
