Kumho Tires

The Duro tires that came on our trailer needed to be replaced and we went with Kumho which are radials made in Korea. They are rated for 106 mph and are actually made for light commercial vehicles. Having 14 inch tires makes it hard to upgrade and we don't have enough space to go to 15 inch tires. The new tires were also balanced.

On our vacation trip from MD to Asheville, NC, and back, the tires performed beautifully. The trailer tows better with the new tires and we could maintain 65 on the interstates without worrying the tires would blow apart. Now we are hoping the tires live up to this great beginning.

The tires were purchased from Tirerack and delivered to our house and installed at the local Western Auto. The installer thought Marshall was crazy to insist the tires be balanced as they never balance trailer tires.

Diane-If you are referring to Kumho 857 radial tires,I agree! Before we purchased our Sunline,we had an 07 Fleetwood Niagara pop up.This pop-up was a high wall model, very heavy. When I put the 857's on the Niagara,it was a huge improvement in our towing experience.I'm thinking because they were a load range D,with a little wider footprint when compared to the Loadstar bias-ply tires the pop-up came with. When I was looking for new tires for our 2363,I looked at these first, but they are only manufactured in the 14 inch wheel size, and we needed 15's.Very good radial tire!

The Kumho 857's are the tires we bought. How long did yours last?

When we sold the Niagara last August, the tires had almost 3 camping seasons on them, they were just fine - no unusual wear patterns.I'm sure yours will perform the same.In my experience - a very good tire!
