king Jack Antenna

Hi gang.. Question--has anyone had any luck with the King Jack? I'm looking for information on this unit. I'm not having much luck with it. Just wondering if anyone else has used this unit and how it worked out for them. Anyone want to share?

Thanks, Dave

This threat may help: http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f6...ion-15541.html - It is the installation by dtstanton (Dale) of his Jack antenna.

Thanks Gene. That helps a little. Still, don't know if it's worth the effort. Just received a replacement King Jack and will try this one when I get back to RI. The first one did nothing, yet other people in the campground get all the local channels. Go figure!

Dumb question on my part - but do you have the antenna amplifier on?

I really like ours, Dave. It's been very reliable, depending on where we are and even which spot we're in at a given campground. We've always been able to get reception - except once, I think. While camping, we have ranged from two channels to as many as 11 or 13. We don't do RV parks in metro areas. We prefer more secluded/isolated campgrounds away from civilization. FM radio works well with it, too.

I'll let everyone know how the new replacement works out. Should have it hooked up sometime next week..

Update on King Jack

Well gang the problem seemed to be in the antena. Installed the new one and bingo. Now I have all kinds of channels, most in HD. Very happy now.

I bought one and also got nothing, but it wasn't the antenna's fault I had to replace the cable from the jack to the antenna in my camper. Apparently a former owner sent to much voltage or it was struck by lightning but the cable was fried. I still went back to Winegard with a newer version of their batwing. I get more channels with it.
