iPhone Apps For RVing
Having fought techno-lust and lost, I purchased an iPhone earlier this year. It’s been a convenient way of keeping organized, particularly while on the road, and the few apps I’ve downloaded have been useful. One of the apps, Rest Area by Guidebook Galactic, is a clever program that locates rest stops along major roads—good information to have when you’re serious coffee drinkers who travel long distances. It uses the phone’s GPS function and Google Maps to display where you (and nearby rest stops) are at all times. Very cool and helpful. We also use NPR Finder to locate nearby National Public Radio Stations while on the road, and RV Companion (the free version) which has a very neat dual-axis level for leveling RVs front-to-back and side-to-side.
As an iPhone app neophyte, I’m sure we’re just scratching the surface of apps useful when RVing. I’d be interested in knowing what apps others are using.
