Info on T-2499

I've held off on posting this, for a couple weeks, in hopes that the one who made the statement would do so. ............ So here goes:

This owner has a 2004 T-2499 and has determined that the bathroom sink drains into the black tank. Since our TT is in storage, I can't check this out on ours.

Has anyone else found the bathroom sink to drain this way? Hopefully it does since more water into the black tank can't be all bad.

I'm in no way doubting the person who said this, but wonder if this is common or was a custom install by Sunline.

Our 2007 2499 drains into the Grey Tank. DOnt know if yours is different because it's a 04, but the easiest way to check it to run water and have your grey tank open.

I agree, you might want a little more water in your black tank, but as a full timer, I'd much rather have the blcak tank only hold black, as I dont want to have to empty it more than needed.

We had one of the Black Tank Rinsers installed at Sunline when they built ours, and I'm glad we did. For those that dont have one, make sure you buy one of the hand held wands that goes in from the toilet. You'd be amazed at the amount that comes out after I turn this on.

We did a test to see if we just emptied the tank by itself as to how much more would come out after we turned it on, and let me say "WOW "

My 2004 T2499 sinks and shower all drain into the gray tank.

The black tank is totally only for the toilet.

A simple way to check this is, when dumping at the dump station, shut off the black tank, leave the gray dump valve open and pour some water down the bath sink. Go look.

OR, shut off the water pump, hold down the toilet flush valve, look into the black tank with a flash light on an empty black tank and pour water down the bath sink. You can easily see the bottom of the black tank in the T2499 down the hole. If no water, then no sinks drains attached.

I do not know if your friend has a special one or not, but my 04 is like this.

John
