I finally have a tow vehicle!

I have been looking, looking and finally found what I like and what the wife will ride in with me, too. And, it didn't break the retirement budget- it's a 2002 Chevy Avalanche that I bought in an estate sale- It was FL owned, by a retired mechanic who owned his own garage for 24 years. His daughter told me all about how he took care of this SUV and it was parked inside, too.

W/ a 7000lb tow pkg and Z66 on road suspension pkg- 5.3L vortec- brake controller, too. Basically all set up for me.
I am hoping we can get a camper and take a trip right after Labor Day- I have always liked the Sunline 2363 floor plan the best and I hope one falls into my lap like this Avalanche did - No body rust anywhere- the leather upholstery looks great, which makes me think the previous owner used seat covers. 142K miles- registered in the late summer of 2001= about 7900 miles a year.

Mark

Looks good, hopefully since it's from the south you wont see all the rust related issues we get up here in the colder winter states from the road salt. I love mine for camping/hauling, the lockable bed is great for all the camping gear and the full four door cab leaves plenty of interior space.

Wow, nice find!

Maybe you can import some of those rust free trucks up here in the northern states

Those of use who have lived and worked through road salt rot could be waiting in line for such a deal.

The T2363 is a popular floor plan. Your search for a deal like your new truck may be harder to find.

Good luck

John
