How many Sunlines are near you?

I was out today and saw one near me I never knew was there. That make mine and 4 others within a mile of me. Then there are a few in storage at the RV dealer just outside of town. I may have to try to meet these people and let them know about this site.

I know of six in within like ten miles of me- a '97 2053, a '98 2653, a '97 1950, a '93 2251, a '92 TT (can't see whole TT to tell model), and a '00 TT (can't see whole TT to tell model).

As for where my Sunny is stored, there's two others near it- a '05-'05 TT (can't see whole TT to tell model) and a '92 1850. There was a '94 1550 next to a house this summer, but it disappeared and hasn't returned. There may be others, but it's sort of in a rural area and people can store the coaches back in their back yards which makes it hard to see them from the road.

A older 1950 is two streets away from me (1/4 mi). Always wanted to stop and talk to him, but either I am camping or he is!

Sunline spottings are rare in Georgia though there is one a few streets over from me. It looks a little smaller than my 2553 and appears to be older. I say that because it has the black framed windows. I may have to grab the street address and send them an invitation to the club in the mail one day.

I have yet to see one on the road or while camping but I have had several people stop and comment on mine while I am camping. They always rave about what nice campers they are.
Later,
David

Well, we have a dealer that we got ours from near us- and there are many of them in storage which will get a little invitation to the board just before the weather breaks, and they have several for sale still.

PatsFan lives in the same town as my wife and I, and I've had a truck and plate sighting on a local street- but going the opposite direction

There's a bunch of them- but there are many wooded lots locally, so they are somewhat hard to see all the time.

There are two other Sunlines in my town, including another T2370. I know of a few others in the general area.

There are more than a few in my general area. Sunlines are a very popular trailer in Central Pennsylvania, I wonder why? When we go to our favorite campground, about 10 miles from the house, there are always at least a dozen there. Actually I found our 1996 T-2053 at the campground (ODW Gettysburg Farm) back in 2001. We were camping in our 1969 Winnebago D-24 at the time. We stole it less than a week later for $5500. I even took the plastic off of the mattress. A member was having a going out of marriage sale and it had to go. We used it for two seasons, and sold it for $5500 in one day, should have asked for more. Sunnies go fast here.

Here in Frederick county MD, we see them on the road from time to time, not too many stored in the area that I can see, but last summer, at Frontier Town in Ocean City MD, we counted 18 of them!

Kathy,
That's because you have so many great state CG's near you.

There's a couple 2 miles from me who owned a 1950 but wanted more room for when their grandchildren stayed with them. I showed them our coach and they purchased a 264SR after that. They had their 1950 for sale but I don't know who bought it.

Mike

Living 5 minutes from the old Sunline plant, we have hundreds I'm sure. When we walk the dog we'll stand on the bridge over 222 and see how long it takes to spot a Sunline heading out or home from the weekend. It's never more than a few minutes on a friday or sunday.

Sunlines in Central PA

Don't know of any Sunline owners in the Central PA area (Lewisburg, Sunbury, Milton & surrounding communities), but I do see them occasionally at some local campgrounds. Hopefully some Central PA owners will speak up and let themselves be known.

When I drive down to New Bloomfield (in Perry County) or to Carlisle, I see quite a few Sunlines parked in driveways on the side roads. There's a few on Route 15 in every town, too.

From April to November, I see them on the road all over Central PA from Lawrenceville in the north to Gettysburg in the south.

I pass several on my way to work everyday, sitting in peoples yards. I know where there are 3 different early '80's models setting. They have the old orange and yellow decals on them.

Jon - If you get near Gettysburg this year, 2 of the 3 are located along route 30; doesn't appear as though they've been used in awhile. They might be nice for your collection!

There is a place about 5 miles north of Butler. They have a Sunline parked out back and one in the front yard for sale. Back in 2001, when Lori and I were first looking for a travel trailer, we stopped and talked to this guy because he had a trailer for sale then also. It was a Sunline, and he couldn't say enough nice about them. Said he sold 5-6 trailers each year, and really liked the Sunlines. We ended up buying a new 2002 1950, in part because of his enthusiasm for Sunline.
