How do we go about selling our Sunline?

We have a 2003 Sunline, model 1950. Our granddaughter is living with us with our great grandson. We need to get a larger trailer if we are to continue camping.

How do we even go about selling our trailer? Is there a blue book for trailers that would tell us the value? (It is in immaculate condition with many extras).

Thanks so much!

Don & Carolyn

The first place to check for the value of your coach would be the NADA website http://www.nadaguides.com/SectionHom...=25&p=0&f=5602. They have listings for used RV prices.
You can list the trailer on Craigs List, eBay, and sites like www.sunlinervs.com

NADA for a ballpark value. I sold our 2006 Teton on Craiglist, sold the big fifth wheel for full asking price. It is free and it works great!

NADA is a good guide to a ballpark value.

For your coach, the values are as follows:

Low Retail: $6,830
Average Retail: $8,230

If you want to get rid of it quickly, I'd suggest $8000. I give you these values because I disregard all the options. The real book doesn't give these choices and many dealers disregard them. So, in order to be competitive with units available at dealers, you have to price it like they do.

I would also suggest, if you can, to wait until spring to put it on the market.

From my own experience, I bought our first Sunline to take a trip out west with my Grandsons. Were it not for that vacation, I would not have beenn in the market for a travel trailer.

Why did I buy a Sunline for that trip? Pure luck, a distant relative of my daughter's had it for sale.

Like you, we up-sized and our daughter now owns the first Sunline.

And the best part, Jan and I have really gotten into this RV thing and love it.

The link to NADA is great. I never checked the value of the fiver before buying it. Checked it now, and I'm very pleased. Thanks for that link. I also agree with Paul about waiting for spring if you can. Winter is a buyers market for RVs, boats, motorcycles, etc... If you wait you will be more likely to get full value of your coach.
