Hershey RV Show
We plan to go to the Hershey RV Show tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone knows of anything new out there that we should be on the lookout for? So far everything we've seen at RV shows, since Sunline went out of business, have been a disappointment.

Yeah, I agree. Check and see if the Airstreams are catchin' a clue. The last ones I saw were, shall we say, "less than luxurious," and nowhere near to justifying their prices.

It is unclear from the website as to whether the show has actual parts vendors there - I am interested in laying into various stocks of LED replacement lights, including ropes for the outside (Im on this energy saving kick....)

If you get a chance
If you get a chance and you are inside looking at the vendors...
We were there last year and boutght some LED repalcement lights for our reading lights. I seems to have lost the receipt and can't find out the name of the vendor. It was a Husband & Wife team, i think they were from the south.
So if you happen to see something like that, could you get their name, e-mail address or phone.
Thanks.

Thanks Kitty. I saw that and it looks to me like there are less exhibitors this year than the last time we went...which was 2 or 3 years ago. Airstream wasn't there the last time and looks like they won't be there this time. We did stop in at Colonial Airstream when we were at Turkey Swamp Campground in NJ last year. I like the classics but not so much the cheaper models. Guess I have fine wine tastebuds but a beer pocketbook
Yes...will look for LEDs!

I was going to start a thread on the the RV Show but it's already here. We just got back from there. I am happy to report that we didn't see anything that makes us smile as much as our 1950 does, at least in the small trailer category. Forrest River is making some nice trailers in our opinion, we like a V-nose trailer with the bathroom up in the V. But there are lots of ugly dark brown interiors in so many of these RVs. Ours is bright and cheery.
Inside the Giant Center there are vendors and I did see one selling LED lights. And I think there was someone in front of the Giant Center that had a few rope lights but I can't remember for sure.
I didn't see any Airstreams there, but did a few years back. We've been going for several years now and the overall size of the show (at least the amount of parking lot that it covers) is not what it once was.
But overall we had a very good time, looking at everything. That's why we keep going back every year.

We were not impressed very much. This was the first show we have attended. There were a few neat things we there, but I quess it does not help that it rained the whole time. Hopefully next year the weather will be nicer.

We went on Saturday and enjoyed ourselves, it was our first Hershey RV show.
We did see some trailers that Lerch had that we actually thought were a decent setup as compared to our sunline, not better enough to switch, but ok. (we've honestly never, as a family, agreed that we liked another trailer the same as or more then our sunline before.)
We got to talk to the owner for the Jonestown KOA, this is where we stayed for our first time out with our new trailed, back on Easter weekend. At that point it was their 3rd week owning the camp too. We appreciated his eagerness to do updates to the campground, and that they will now be open year round. He also gave us a buy 1 get 1 free coupon for any stay before March.
We talked to the Pocono Tourism campground rep and got some leads on campground that might work for us their too.

Barb and I went on Saturday. Only trailer I though would be a half decent replacement for our Sunline was a model from Sunny brook. But i agree with Roy and DeAnn Nothing I would trade my current trailer for.

It's nice to dream about getting the latest and greatest, but it is also very, very nice to be content with what you have!
