Help With Older Sunline Identification
I've been thinking about how I got started in camping. When I was a kid my grandparents bought a brand new Sunline in what I believe was around 1986-1988. They bought the Sunline after trading in a Prowler or Wilderness (can't remember which) after owning it for less than a month. I'm not positive but I seem to remember the trailer being a 20th Anniversary Edition, so that would be a 1988 model year, correct? Which means they could have bought in in the Fall of 1987, correct? Maybe someone can help me get a model designation for the floor plan. It was approx. 24-26 feet. Front dinette, rear bath(on door side), and rear bunk beds on the other side. Center kitchen, and I believe it had a sofa opposite the kitchen. It was the tan-ish exterior with the large blue and red stripes. I'm going to do some searching and see if I can find some photos. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Lowell,
If you think it was a 20th anniversary edition, that would make it a 1985. Let me know if you see anything you recognize in the brochures, but start with the '85 since you think it might be.
From a quick look at the '85 brochure, I'm guessing it might have been the T-2251. Check that out and see if that's it. The 2251 would be 22'7" long from tongue to bumper. I'll check my collection to see if I have any '85 2251's in there and if I do, I'll post the pics.
Since I scanned all those brochures, I realize turning into the PDF lessened the quality of the images. If there's anything you can't read, let me know and I can e-mail you the page(s).
Also, this would have had the tan exterior with red, orange, and blue stripes. All Sunline's had that same scheme from '85-'89, but the blue got darker in '87.
The one distinct feature for '85's is it was the last year for the bare aluminum windows. So, if you by chance remember the window frames were bare aluminum and NOT painted brown, it would be a '85.

I did some digging in the picture box last night and found a picture of the trailer. The picture is dated August of 1987 and I know exactly where the pic was taken. Your tip on the window frames confirms the year as a 1985, a 20th Anniversary trailer. I also remember my PawPaw going out a buying a brand new 1985 Chevrolet Silverado 20 Series Diesel Pick-up to tow the new trailer. When he did something he did it whole hog, god love him. So now I know it to be an '85, just need to figure the model number. I couldn't get the brochure pics to load though. When I get a chance I'll try to post it here somehow. But now I gotta go load the trailer, we are getting outta Dodge for the WE. Thanks, Lowell.
