Help Wiring Lights

Hello
My old marker lights are 4 wire - 2green in left and two white in right. My new marker lights are two black wires. I’m lost how to wire them or even if I can.

With the old one, I think one of the greens and one of the whites was a circuit continuation to the next marker light. Not sure about the new ones, unless the metal screw hole serves as a ground. Someone will weigh in with the solution.

Going by the pics, I'd agree that the extra wires are to feed the next light in the circuit. Just bug one of the wires from the new light to both greens, and the other to both whites.

I'm surprised though, that you're replacing with incandescent rather than LED. LEDs use less current, generate less heat, and last much longer than incandescent. The only caveat is that LEDs are polarity-sensitive--you have to identify which wires are positive and which are negative in order to hook them up properly.

In all actually with marker lights with a standard bulb it does not matter as long as it has two leads. The extra leads are part of a continuing loop the the other lamps.

Do you have a part number? Because all I found were single wire lights and I have no idea how to hook up a single wire light to my 4 wires.

Since the circuit has to carry to the next light, I would connect the two greens to one of the blacks and the two whites to the other. If that doesn't work, flip the greens and white to the opposite side to change the polarity of the led.

Here's a diagram of how the lights would be wired. One of your "single" wires would get connected to the two green wires, and the other would be connected to the two white wires.

You won't find a light with four wires anywhere, because only two are needed. The extra two wires are used just to continue the circuit to the next light.

Since both of the wires on your replacement light are black, I'm assuming it's incandescent rather than LED. Polarity doesn't matter with incandescents, but it does with LEDs--so I'd expect different colored wires in that case. If you connect it per my diagram and it doesn't work, try swapping the two wires.
