Help - Lugs worn down on sewer hose connector

I can't hook up a black or grey water drain hose because the bayonet lugs are worn off the pipe. Has anyone had this problem, and what did you do to remedy? I'm dry camping till I come up with a solution!

Thanks for the help.

Wayne

I believe that a short straight adapter with male lugs on one end and female on the other could be PVC cemented onto the original outlet, if it does not stick out too far. In fact, what I would try to use would be one of the short *clear* extensions to better see if the tank was flushed clear. I have not tried this, but I looked at my 264SR and it appeared that it could be done. Failing that, they do have press on types of adapters that you could attach with a large hose clamp whenever you decided to hook up.

Hope that is of any help, Wayne. Good luck!
Charlie

Thanks Charlie, that appears to be the only way to fix it as far as I can tell. Using a clear adapter is a great idea.

Maybe a Clear Adapter should be put as it's own post as I thought this was just about mandatory to know when the tank it fully flushed.

If your lugs are worn down, you should be able to cut off the older model, leaving enough of the original PVC left for a new model to be glued onto. If this is German to you as it was the first time I looked into lenghting my cleanout connections, go to your local RV Dealer and they should be able to walk you through it, or do it for you for that lovely price of $90 per labor hour!

Good luck and I'd do this first thing, as Dry Camping isnt to fun when you have to look at that bathroom in the middle of the night but cant use it.

Emam,

That is what I would love to do, but can't find the piece anywhere. It is crazy that this piece isn't readily available, I would have replaced it already. Thanks for the input

We just got the master catalog for Camping World and there are a few pages of different connections that should do the trick.

If you dont have a Camping World close by, check out their website and see if they have anything that'll help you out.

Good Luck
