Goodbye to the QUEtSE

Two of the predictions of the attendees of the 2007 Buttonwood M&G have now come true The VanWinkles did indeed get a kayak, and now we are trading in the QUE. I am SO excited. We were down at Stoltzfus earlier in the week and they had just taken in a trade of a 2006 2753 that almost looks new. I don't think the owners ever put anything in the outdoor storage compartments because they still smell new. We pick it up on Wednesday. Lee gave us a good deal So if anyone wants a pristine 2007 QUE SE give him a call.

Congrats on the new coach. If anybody asks why you went larger, just tell them that it hurt "the beast's" ego pulling the smaller Que.

I am sure that the best part that you will find is the size of the bathroom. It is like having a third room in the coach.

Enjoy,

Bobo

Congrats, the 2753 is a great coach. We looked at one before we bought the 295.

Congrats Pam & Steve!

What will you do with all that extra room now?????

We traded up from a 1950 to a 2499 and I thought I died and went to heaven with all that extra room.......and to be able to stand up in the bathroom and pull up your jeans - oh how marvelous!

Enjoy the new Sunny!

Wardrobe space?

Congrats on your new Sunny! I have a question about the 2753...I have looked in the brochures for wardrobe space and dont seem to find any..I know there are two shirt closets in the BR..are there drawers too ?Drawers under the bed? Any wardrobe in there? I like that layout but my 2653 has the big wardrobe in the hall and we still could use more hanging space for long trips of 3 or more months...Also what size tv can you put in that corner cabinet? Sure wish there was one to see in person....Jan (P.S. Hey, how about some pictures of yours??!!!)

Here's some pics of a '06 2753 to help answer questions until some can be posted of the actual unit in question. The pics look like they were taken at Stoltzfus, so maybe this was it when new? It's # 5460, by the way.

Jon,
That one can't be ours since ours has the blue interior, and the diamond plate rock guard on the front. Thanks for the pics though.
Janalee,
As you can see from Jon's pics there are wardrobes next to the bed instead of shirt closets. They are longer than the shirt closets. There's also a cabinet at the foot of the bed that has 2 doors and 2 shelves. That closet should hold lots of foldables. There are 2 BIG drawers under the bed - one on each side. I don't know the size of the TV cabinet, but will measure it Wed.
Kathy & Leo,
I was wondering if it's still appropriate to be "quetse"! It doesn't seem right. I'll have to give that some thought. As for naming this new trailer, I was thinking "beauty" because she is, and then we'd have beauty and the beast I'm not sure about that yet though.

Pam & Steve,
Great news................Congrats. A bigger TT can be great especially on long stays. You will have to buy more stuff to fill all your nooks & crannies. I'm glad you found your dream "home"........ Marshall

BTW............The Salamander is probably the best ride. The Durbin Rocket is a nice steam engine on rustic tracks but a short run. A very nice sounding whistle. When Dad went to the northeast to pick that engine up someone had unbolted the whistle so they almost lost it. The Tygart Flyer is the longest ride and the most classy. You get cars that are right out of 30' & 40's. A couple years ago they had the "City of New Orleans" dinner car here. Dolly Sods are great also..............We usually go mid July to pick wild blueberries. Elkins is great...............and my hometown!!!!!!

Hey Guy's
Congratulations.
TV got the guts so why not. It's not like we have an endless supply of Sunlines available.
JoLynne and I just had a conversation this weekend of the possibility downsizing because of the current gas situation. We considered any type of camping and units available. After we spent some time and reviewed all the pros and cons, we fell in love with our 2363 all over again.
Its going to be a fun M&G @ Buttonwood.
Regards,
Jay

Your new 2753...

Pam...thanks for telling me about the big drawers and the cupboard at the foot of the bed..I love those big underbed drawers! I did notice though that the new units have the larger counter space resulting in a shorter sofa..the overall length is a few inches bigger than the older models..Myself, I prefer the longer sofa so I can stretch out so will confine my search to older than 2002. I like the idea of the sliding door on the bedroom--our 2553 only had an accordion door which didn't give much privacy and allowed lots of light from the bathroom in the AM..Again,good luck in your new Sunny! Super Congrats to you. I see you too stayed in the Sunline family even used.

Like the T310SR you pointed us to, that is still a dream…. Just have to be in the right place at the right time.

Well lets’ see the T310SR was the Sunline who found a new home in October, yours is now a fill in for November, so who’s is next??

And, yes please posts pics. We are into Pic’s….

Glad for you and DH.

John and Cindy

In a way, I hope it isn't me, though donations will never be refused .

There is that slight storage issue though! I think I could always squeeze in 2+ if needed .

Oh my gosh this thing is HUGE! We are officially home, and QUEtSE is at Stoltzfus for sale I have to complement Stoltzfus on a job well done. They really made this trailer sparkle. They shampooed the rugs, cleaned and sealed the roof, and made it seem new...very professional.
The truck really didn't even work much towing the new, as yet to be named, trailer. It actually makes the Beast ride smoother with it loaded down a bit. OK...gotta go do some "nesting." I'll post pictures eventually.

We spent a lovely 4 nights at Claytor Lake State Park, followed by 3 nights at Misty Mountain which was not our cup of tea but the only thing open near our daughter's condo where we had T'giving. The official name of the new trailer is the Tweety. You'll all see why...it came with the tire cover So, now we're wondering what on earth we'd have to buy to make this truck feel like it's towing anything! We went up Christiansburg Mountain and Afton Mountain in Virginia and didn't break 1700 rpm. It tows like a dream. I drove pretty much, and Steve says when he finally meets her he wants to thank KanyonKitty for that, since she's the only other woman we know who drives, and was my inspiration to give it a try. Here are some pictures of Tweety at Claytor Lake.

The TV shelf didn't last long...we prefer a couple of coat hooks.

Now if we could just figure out how to make it match the truck

WOW, that thing is huge. Tweety is an understatment since Tweety was a very small bird. Maybe Eagle, or Condor...LOL

Glad to hear you like the new digs
