Estimated 77" of snow just south of Buffalo in Lancaster. We are north of Buffalo with only about 6" of snow. We are lucky compared to the people stuck in their houses, at work or cars for 3 days. There is more snow on the way today.

We are OK also! We have 9" on the ground with another 10=18" due tonight!

Our Fire Department actually sent two snowmobiles and men out to the Buffalo area - what should have taken them 7 hours to get there ended up taking more than 12 hours.....

We pray all goes well for the western New York residents!

I was thinking about you New Yorkers as well. We here in CT are very lucky at this point. My understanding is that CT has or is sending equipment and people out to western NY to help as well.

Darn Global warming!

JohnB is on a distinguished road
We had between 2 to 6" of snow pending where one lives in the central Ohio area. We also broke a record at 12 deg F for being this cold this soon in November.

Traffic was a disaster for the first snow and always is in these parts. For reasons not yet known... they see white stuff on the road and think they can still go normal speed. and then we get those that are crawling....

Cindy called her family back in Buffalo. Most of them live north of the Thruway and they are OK. One sister lives south and they are in the buried snow pile. I have seen the pictures and still cannot fathom snow that deep, that fast.

Hope the best for all our SOC members in this area.

John

Want disaster? Come to the South when it snows. Talk about ignorant drivers. Four wheel drive does not equal four wheel stop, eh?
Oh well, it'll be 70 here come Monday.
