Earthquake
Did any of our New England members feel the quake last night around 7:15? We felt it here in VT. Doors rattled and the floor was shaking. We're on ledge so often feel NY or other quakes. Can't remember one centered in Maine before.

I'm about 20-30 miles from where they decided it was the dog barked before I felt any thing it shook the house and rumbled kind of like thunder only a lower tone. It's not uncommon around here but this was the strongest I have felt (4.6).

I thought of you when I saw the epicenter on the map! Hey, any news on the campground? It looks like a dandy so even if we don't get a break in cost it looked most reasonable. You can tell I am really missing my camping and looking forward to next year ! Sunline is all winterized now.

It was a good jolt here in Portland. Felt like a train derailed. Facebook lit up like a Christmas tree with folks trying to figure out what happened.

Funny, didn't feel or hear a thing near Plattsburgh, NY. We usually feel everything up here. Chuck

Camp grounds fine with what ever we want to do there is a nice gap when schools back is session and Fryeburg Fair so any time labor day to Oct. If we can come to an agreement on a date we can hold as many places as we need all in one spot. Was down there yesterday blowing water out of the hookups for the winter most people have no ideal how much work a camp ground is. It's a fairly long trip for me (1/2 mile) so what ever the agreement is I'm fine and will put every thing in place.

I normally live at the other end of the state, but am now babysitting my grandkids in Essex.. just a few towns south of Fairfax !
As far as the meet and greet, my vote is right after Labor Day so we don't get too close to the date of the Adirondack meet. That way anyone wanting to attend both will be able to and there won't be the foliage crowd yet. So Sept. 6-8. But maybe we should start a thread about it for input?

Agreed as far as I'm concerned any time is fine with me so I guess I'll vote for right after Labor day.

The 21st is the date of Adirondack M&G and several of us attend. Mainah, is the weekend after that OK? Or is that the weekend of the Fair?

Nope the fair usually starts first week in Oct. Because I don't care I'll stay out of a date so those interested can work it out and I'll set it up with the camp ground and arrange for the sites if no one else has reserved them there are 6 sites right on the river. I guess it also would be a good ideal to start a new thread.

Mainah - Contact Us says it starts Sept. 29 (Sunday). Does that mean that weekend is not good for a meet and greet ? I'll start a new thread, unless you'd like to.
