My favorite "BC" story and I know there are a lot of Firefighters on this site that will appreciate this
More years than I care to think about ago, our county started requiring units going on location to provide a detailed status...i.e. how many stories, rough dimensions, type of occupancy, construction type, % of involvement.
Many thought this was unnecessary air time..... so a certain Lieutenant, who shall remain nameless
, arrives at a "Fire of undertermined Nature" in a local park and gives the following report.
"Engine 121 on location of a single story, 6' x 10', multi-occupancy of fiberglass construction, 25% involved"
Where does the connection to a "BC" come in? Actual situation, Four porta-potti's mounted on a utility trailer with one fully involved!!
My driver was laughing so hard he couldn't get the pump in gear, and the Chief, who was coming down the hill, almost wrecked his car!!!
