Visit to DMV

I waited for a very long time for my number to be called at the Department of Motor Vehicles to renew my driver's license. As I approached the window, the clerk asked how she could help me.

I replied, "I need to get a haircut, can you save me my spot?"

She said, "Why didn't you get a haircut before your came here?"

I replied, "I didn't need one before I got here!"

Unfortunately, this is a true story...wife takes the daughter to DMV to get her Learners Permit. Gathers up the required info...birth certificate and one other form of ID. Get to the info counter after standing in line for 45 minutes, the woman checks the paperwork and gives them a number. After two and a half hours they get to the counter. Clerk looks at paperwork and tells my wife "We can't accept this Birth Certificate" Now this is the certified copy we have used for everything in this girls life since I adopted her @:3 years old. Well, it's about 15 miles from Annapolis to Fort Meade, and I heard the explosion😊 she went off "what exactly was that idiot looking at 2 1/2 hours ago?" It went down hill from there.

She did get it the next day after dad spent two hours at the health dept. Getting new Birth Certificates.

Only took about an hour at DMV, of course the same people were in place.....no waiting.

In Florida we get to renew this time by mail. Only line is at the drive thru and the Post Office. Yabba-Dabba-Doooooo!!! Tags are at the tax office and anytime the government wants to take your money they CAN move faster.

PA's DMV used to be a nightmare. If you said you had to go to the DMV, people would tell you to take the day off work b/c you'd need it. In the past decade tho', they've really improved and going to the DMV isn't as painful as it once was.
