Did your Sunny make it thru the storm?

Fellow Campers

Well how did you fair in the snow?

Here is the central Ohio report. The good news is I picked the right side of the shed to park “The Camper 2”. It barley had any snow on it.

Now exactly how much snow did we get? Good question. It was so blown all over the place it was somewhere between 14” to 4 feet… Glad I did not pick this side of the shed to park the camper.

Then about 5:00PM the Sun comes out? Strange weather or what? It went from blizzard to blue sky in about an hour.

Must admit the white stuff is pretty.

So how did our other Sunline friends fair with the storm?

They say come this Friday it is suppose to be 50???

John

Too early to give a final report here. We have been getting a mixture of sleet , snow and freezing rain since last night. They say the biggest part of the storm is to hit here tonight. 12 to 18 inches of snow and high winds. We have about 8 to 10 on the ground now. Glad to see your Sunline made it through the storm ok. Mine has had an easy winter as its in my garage so I can replace the floor.

I'm ready to go camping so I hope this is the last storm of the season.

Well I can't report on Sunny's condition, I think I can safely assume no damage from snow. Since it's even farther west and north from here, I think it got even less snow.

The dark spots where there's no snow, well those are ice patches from the last storm. Come on spring! It'll be ugly to get the MH out next weekend if this stuff keeps up.

However, we got an e-mail from my aunt, who lives in the Akron area. She said she had so much snow that it was deeper than her snowblower was tall. She also said they're supposed to get between 14" and 2' by the end of the storm.

It was a perfect day to sit around and read a good book. I did, and I was reading Steele's on Wheels (which is a very good book, BTW):

P.S. I don't know what I did, if anything, but does anyone else have some sort of Toyota sponsored edit feature on their Photobucket? I just went to resize this pic and it's now like ten steps instead of three.

The Sunline is doing fine here eventhough I've probably had more than a foot of snow/sleet. I blew the snow out of the driveway before noon today and I'll have to do it again before I go anywhere tomorrow.

With snow a topic of discussion I was foward this by one of my camping friends. There shall be no Sunline burried in the snow with access to one of these....

In case you need a real heavy duty snow blower, you can get one of these. That is a chevy 454 V8 on it....

See here for the entire article

I laugh and shake my head every time I look at it....pretty ingenious I must say. Man and his machines....

Where did they hide the fuel tank. I would expect something slightly bigger than the normal 1 gallon tank. Maybe 20 gallons. Definately unique.

I "think" it is behind the 2nd stage of the blower. Can see a fill cap in front of the tires. They might be able to get a 5 gallon size in there. With that size engine, I'm sure is only has to be idling at 650 to develope enough power to throw what ever comes into it a "few" feet...

Tim the Tool man would be proud!!

Well here in the Adirondacks, we had rain on Saturday and blizzard conditions on Sunday.....was calm on Monday and Tuesday - now it is Wednesday - Leo left on his "guys" vacation - down to the Nascar race in Bristol....guess what it is doing and guess how long it is supposed to last.....ALL WEEK!!!!!

Oh well, plow, work, plow, eat, plow sleep and start the cycle all over again......he keeps telling me 20 home & business' is nothing to do! Well if you don't work full time I guess 20 contracts isn't much!

Please think blue skies and warm weather......I'm hoping against all odds!
