Crying in my Beer

Mother Nature is about to dump 12-24 inches of white crap on us Friday and Saturday so that delays the trip to Stoltzfus to settle on the 2499. For us here in the eastern part of MD this will be the third snowstorm in a week. One day we will be able to get the 1950 out of the driveway and put the 2499 in but not soon enough for us.

Well guess I should stop whining and make sure I have enough bread. milk and toilet paper.

I'm so sorry........It's all my fault

I agreed to a contract on my house on Kent Island, MD three weeks ago and it's snowed every weekend since......now they are calling for a blizzard this weekend and more snow Tues. and Wed. I'm supposed to be cleaned out and ready for settlement by next Friday the morning of the 12th!!!

I feel your pain!!!!!!

Mother Nature and I need to have a discussion

Diane,
OH, I am so sorry you cant have your n-used 2499 in the yard to do "Camp Blizzard" in. I have seen enuff of this white crap. Our schools have already announced that they will be closed tojmorrow.

Mack,

WOW, gonna be kinda hard to get moved outta your house in a blizzard. DO you have to put stuff in storage, or right into your new house ? Are you moving very far? Will you be able to keep your Sunny right in your yard?
OK, so I
m asking a lot of questions, BUT, but but somebody has got to do it

Kitty

For all the snow much of the country has gotten this year, we've had very, very little in my area, metro Detroit. I'm not complaining! This winter has been a breeze.

I have a friend who lives in Asheville, NC who has gotten WAY more snow than we have this year, and she said they normally don't get more than an inch or two all winter long.

Despite the lack of snow, I still have the camping itch, and specifically, the itch to go check on the Sunline at the storage facility. Sadly, it's under cover, and it's too much work to partially remove just to satisfy my curiosity...

We've got almost all the furniture moved to a storage facility, the big exception being my gun safe. We've got about three pickup truck loads of "stuff" and the shed that still has to be moved. Big Challenge will be the shed, if we get the amount of snow they are predicting, followed by the wind...it will be "that pile of snow four feet behind the pine tree in the back yard" and it's a two story shed!!!! The property backs up to a several hundred acre open farm field and a "Nor'easter" will put most of the snow off the field in my backyard. We're actually moving three houses into two at this time. Some of the stuff is going to the "new" house, some into storage.

The "new" house is actually my late mother-in-laws (mdfiregal's mom's). We are selling this house (mine prior to our marriage) to buy out her brother's half of her mom's. It's about 30 miles between the houses, but they're on opposite sides the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

We've actually always kept Sunny in her driveway, so it's going to stay put.

I know! This storm they're all talking about would be more snow than I think we had for the whole month of January!

No cover has stopped me! I've even had to break off pieces of ice from the cover in order to get it up enough to get underneath! I agree though, it is a lot of work just for a look.

Well, guess I should stop complaining as I'm not trying to move and/or leave for vacation.

We plan on spending tonight and tomorrow watching snow and planning our big vacation for August.

Hope everyone who gets hit comes through just fine!
