Color Decor

We have the Sage Green Upholstery & bedspread in our tt, and I (personally) think it is booorrrriiiinnnnggggg. I am more of a vibrant purple kinda girl, anything more colorful than that green.

Has anybody added anything to spice up the interior color scheme? What color would go with crappy olive green?? If it were my choice, I would have teal green/blue, or lime green & yellow, sunny colors.

Help...I am thinking that rather than get rid of the bedspread, I would just add some POW pillows. What color?

Here see what Cindy has done on 2 of our campers to add color.

Dear Wife Mods - T2499 and T310SR- Lot's of pic's

She does the inside add life to the camper... and I do the heavy duty construction "stuff". I guess we both just get into it...

Which reminds me, she has done more that I need to get posted. 12 months of the year in plastic canvas yarn crafts all along the top of the slide wall to add more color. I better get with it....

John

PS Janell did some really great work here too. It is in the mod section I think.

Interesting that you say that, Alice. I think your best bet it to just wait a few years and upgrade to an '07 with the Plum Crazy option. I think it has you written all over it based on your description above.

There's not many out there, but there are some. I know of the following two, one in the optional Maple Rustic, one in standard Cherry Petite:

Those pics are wonderfull!!! Man what a great looking camper. And heartbreaking too. No more new ones on such a great product.

I hear Big Foot is comeing back to life, but I'm sure Sunline is not coming back for a long time, if ever.

I'm optomistic, always hoping that someone will reserect the wonderful Sunline Coach Company. Someone that has a LOT of info about the company, and that will listen to what the people want, and be willing to
custom build coaches with the mods a particular buyer desires.

Try this site
http://www.colorschemer.com/online.html
Click on a color that looks close to what you have. 16 co-ordinating colors pop up then you can adjust lighter/darker or pick one of the 16 colors and 16 new ones will appear.
You can check at paint stores for a color wheel. Generally, three colors next to each other, two colors opposite each other, or three triangulated work well. If you look at paint sample cards, alot of them will show three complimenting colors. Purple does look good with sage green if you get the right shade. You could also stay with greens and yellow.
We have the leaf green interior and I don't like the bedspread -- too dark and dreary and doesn't have enough drop on sides for two cover hogs LOL. I replaced it right away with any ivory color spread that has purple flowers and green leaves that goes with the green carpet yet brightens the bedroom.

H'mm, I know a few folks who can for sure do a sure fired way of convincing new folks they are truly fine coaches!!! Hint, Hint....

Now all we have to do is find out where the drawings and rights to the business ended up and find a few of the right original Sunline employees to help kick start this along with the new management. That and a capital working fund. I’ll be right in line to buy one. I already know the exact model and custom upgrades wanted. So they have 1 customer already lined up.

Yep...just need a young entrepreneur to reserect the company. I know a good business analyst and a couple of good mechanical engineers
We replaced our bedspread with a nice soft reversable quilt. I have replaced the miniblinds with white curtains, and thought about reapolsterhing the lambrequins. Blue was my favorite color but we have so much blue in our house for the past 25 years that I wish the Tweety was a different color!

I'm a retired art teacher and (without seeing your "sage"....) I'll tell you that sage is in "in" home decor. I think you can definitely add some purple to it with pillows, placemats, area rugs, etc. It just has to be the right tone and value. Take a sample with you to the fabric store or Marshall's and buy some accessories.

OMG, thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Nancy, I used to paint as well so that I usually know my colors, but this sage green is so far from what I usually like, that I am stumped. Both Ron & I are beach & water people, so imagine the turquoise & teal colors, that would be us for sure.

JohnB - no wonder your wife is never on the computer, she is too busy decorating, but what a beautiful home she has created. I quilt as well, and never thought of some of her projects. Thanks!

Jon - you are right, the plum is MUCH better for me! But our tt right now is in such good shape, you would think it was a 2007!

Clueless Campers - thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

Tweety - you mean I can replace the blinds ? I absolutely hate mini-blinds because of the dusting involved, and I hate seeing the outside through slats. I love big open windows, so I have unlocked all of them and lifted them up. As soon as I get to my ex-home, I will dig out my sewing machine and put in curtains!

Ok, so now you got me thinking. I was thinking that it would be sacriligeous of me to change the color scheme because then it wouldn't be the original Sunline. Aha! now I have your permission, a new bedspread, etc, etc. BIG thanks everybody!

Hi Nancy,

Here are some pics of what Alice's interior looks like:

Alice, I think I found the original pictures of your coach at the dealer where you bought it, assuming that was Bouctouche Auto Sales in Bouctouche, NB. These pictures date from October, 2007, though they claim to be taken in July. It even shows the little cable thing on the refrigerator vent...

Here are some just general clearer interior shots. To my surprise, Forest Green was a popular interior color in the 2004 T-264SR's.

Gee, that looks so neutral any color could be added to spice it up! But then I'm reminded of my friend who hates her taupe colored walls even though all her friends try to tell her they love the color...... If you hate a color there's no 'splainin' it--it's a feeling.

OMG Jon - I am amazed at your ingenuity. How on earth did you track our trailer down? Yup, that is it, pretty good shape for a 2004, eh? Just like new! The only reason we knew that somebody actually owned it before us was the key hooks beside the door.

Thanks for digging up the photos!
