John, We went to Lake Eaton last summer and thought it was heaven. We went to Rollins Pond to scope out a site for next year. What site number were you on?

well the good thing about living in the south is we get to camp year round .. never have to winterize our camper . we love camping in the winter months here and sitting around the camp fire with friends. we always have a new years eve get together at the campground and everyone brings food and we have a great party . we love being retired and camping . headed to Panama City Beach , Florida on the 22nd for a week .. still warm weather there ... happy camping all!!!

Hi Gary and Beth,
We where in site 4. In case you do not know, see this site for Rollins. You can click on the site number and they have pics of each site.
Rollins Ponds Campground (DEC) - Adirondacks, NY - Campsite Guide
The 2 volunteers who put that site for Rollins and Fish Creek together should approach saint hood. Unbelievable. A fellow SOC member linked it to me so I'm passing along the favor.
This was our first time to the Rollins/Fish Creek area. They have a lot of really nice on the water sites. And the only boon docking campground I have been to that has both a fire wood truck and an ice cream truck that comes by once or twice a day....
Heads up on the black fly season. We just missed it. If we where they a week before, we would of lost a pound or 2 to the flys and skitters... Had other friends there before us and they ran into them. We hit is perfect. The weather was super and very few to no bugs...???
Odds are high we will do another Adirondack trip this coming year. Need to start doing the site hunting/park now.
Good luck
John
