Camped This Past Weekend

After lots and lots of consideration and weather watching on the 'net, we decided to take the TT and camp in York for the dog show this past weekend. Well it was a successful trip with no freezing plumbing. We did remove the water hose each evening and kept the furnace running during the day while we were at the show. We were comfy and cozy so consider this a huge success but we still want to get the tanks heated.

Diane,

I'm glad the weather was warm and allowed you to use your Sunline. We have had some nasty blizzards in March in years past, but this year has been rather mild. I know you slept better in your own bed than in a motel.

It was very nice having our Sunline "home" with us, especially after the long days at the dog show. Much better to be able to prepare dinner in the TT rather than going to a reataurant. And much more comfortable than any hotel room as far as I am concerned.

What campground did you stay in? We're always looking for something new within an hour of home, for those quick weekend getaways.

It was called Ben Franklin RV Park but is actually a former trailer park being converted to an RV park. We were the only transients there but the hookups were perfect, the grounds were very clean, and located only 10 minutes from the York fairgrounds. There is no bathhouse yet so full-hookups are a must. I had done some Internet searches for reviews of the place and did not get any negative feedback from that search. We were too late to get reservations at Indian Rock which is an established RV park so we took what was available.
