C 951

Hi guys,
I'm pretty new to this forum.

My girlfriend and I bought a C 951 a few weeks ago. Unfortunately we didn't see all the bad in this beautiful camper. So we had to rebuild the bed, because of some mold coming from leaks around the front window. After that we started to do some cosmetic work and discovered the next leak. Now we need some help.
The "new" leak is on the right side where the front tie down point is. I checked the outside and wanted to remove the screws and seal it again but i wasn't able to find this screws. Do i have to remove the outside wall to fix it or does anyone have an idea how to fix it?
I will attach some pictures so that you have an idea how serious the problem is.

I don't know if it is important but it is a '89 C 951

Thanks in advance

Kind regards
Sally and Sven

Hi Sven,

Can you post some pics of the outside so we can see what you are up against? The corner molding, the roof molding, a window, clearance light or any other penetration in the siding is a potential leak source. The sealing compound goes bad around the item attached to the siding.

All those items I listed normally come off from the outside. Many times the screws are under a vinyl cover strip on windows and moldings.

Hope this helps

John
