Buttonwood would have been Cheaper!!!

We were unable to come to the Meet-n-Greet due to our son's graduation from Cub Scouts to Webelos was Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon we went for a ride and lo and behold I hear mdfiregal say......

"It's Big, It's Shiny, It's Red and It's MINE, MINE, MINE!!!!"

Now most of you know if it was me saying this we'd be seeing....

But, remember we are talking mdfiregal here, so when the farm girl says RED, it's FARMALL Red!!!! Her family had two FARMALLs when she was growing up on the farm and she has always wanted one, so welcome to our family "Lil Red"....

Lil Red is a 1956 Farmall Cub that is in really great condition. His new mom has already made contacts with two antique tractor clubs in the area and looking forward to showing and parading him.

Of course, my first question to her was "Now that you've got your tractor, when can I get my MACK???????" The response had something to do with winning the lottery......

JohnB is on a distinguished road
Mack

There where a good and all around little farm tractor. Had about every implement attachment one could think of. 1 bottom plow, cultivators, sickle bar mower, belly mower etc. All unique to IH and would not fit any other brand…. The days before 3 point hitch.

Don’t worry John Deere did the same thing. Finally some how all the tractor manufactures standardized on 3 point hitch and things started interchanging.

That is a good little work horse.

John

I myself need lights and siren on anything red.

It comes down to one thing, IF MOMMA AIN'T HAPPY, NOBODY'S HAPPY.

Smart move.

Yeah, me too....But, the wife is right about the lottery..... "Big Red" is going to require a lot more $$$ than "Little Red" did, and he's going to need a lot bigger garage than we currently have!!!

The other problem I'm going to have is she wanted "A" Farmall, I want "THAT" Mack. I don't even know if he's still around.

So do I, I responded to my first calls hanging on the back of that beast, and then learned to drive apparatus on it. He was a contrary old Dawg. He had a square geared 5 speed manual and three shot brakes that gave him personality, and I'd love to be able to drive him again.

Lil' Red was delivered last night and momma was really happy parading him around the neighborhood
