Bummer Today

The tow vehicle was rear ended this AM. It was hit at low speed but there is damage to the towing apparatus that we can see and who knows what else is damaged. Marshall was driving and I was in the Explorer ahead of him and was far enough in front that he wasn't pushed into me. And, despite the date not being Friday the 13th, three people in front of me ran into each other. We have plans for the first week of November to take the TT to a dog event and then a trip to New Bern, NC, over Thanksgiving. The Explorer can tow the TT but not as well as the Expedition. Time to sit down with a cup of tea and try to relax.

Oh NO...I am so sorry. Hopefully you can get it repaired before your upcoming trip.

Diane, please be extremely careful towing with the Explorer

.....we have been there and done that....one trip was enough for us!

is NOT what we prefer. We did one trip last Thanksgiving with the Explorer and while it was not too bad, especially with the weight and sway, both of us were not happy. We spent quite a bit of time shopping for the Expedition and have been pleased with it. It tows well and is comfortable for us and the standard poodles to travel in.

Tomorrow Marshall is taking the Expedition to the insurance adjustor so we'll have a better idea of how much damage. And then he can schedule the repair job. If we're lucky, the Thanksgiving trip will still happen.

DH was in auto body business for almost 45 years - so we have a great deal of experience with adjusters!!!!!

lots of luck Diane,be sure to choose a reputable shop to repair it,even if the ins. co. trys to send you to one of the preffered shops as they call them you don't have to take it there,and don't believe the hype they give you if you don't take it to one of their shops.
