T2199 couples retreat

good morning everyone, i finally got my sunline out on the road and parked it for the next three months in a campground in Cape May nj... The water heater runs on electric or gas, camp owner wants us to use gas, no problem. the thing is , the hot water heater sometimes needs me to flick the switch back and forth as the heater will fire then shut down. Also, cant seem to figure out how the oven works. the stove stop works fine.. Local RV service center wants 60 dollars plus 80 per hr just to look at it, parts additional... Thing is i stole this unit for 3700 dollars, plus tax ;( so relacing the heating unit might be the right thing to do considering its ten yrs old.... Any opinions / suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ted

Your water heater has a tube /pipe thru which the gas flows to the burner..spiders love to spin webs in this tube...blow thru the little openings and then try again..I keep soda straws on hand for this.
You have two pilots on your oven..you first light one which heats a thermocouple to release the gas for the main pilot which then lights the oven. However if the first one is not lighting (you must use a lighter for this!) then you.might have a bigger problem. I am sure someone else will be along to answer soon on this. I doubt you will use your oven enough to justify an Rv service call w those kind of charges..I haven't used mine in the two years I have owned it! By the way..are you familiar w a park there in Cape May called Lake Laurie? I would sure be interested in finding out if it is nice and is it close to the ocean..? Hope I have helped you...Janalee
