awning replacement material

Planning to replace 17' awning material on my 2004 Solaris. Deciding between Dyers and Rvawningsmart. Both offer double-sided, one piece awning/valence, and free shipping. Awningsmart appears to be a little heavier, but I think it is an import. Dyers is Dometic brand. About $50 difference in favor of Awningsmart. Anyone have any dealings with either company relating to replacement awning material?

I have never dealt with either company. I do know that a carefree awning fabric replacement used on a A&E system does not work real well. Carefree replacement fabric is about 4 or 5 inches different from rail to tube than A&E (dometic) fabric which puts your latch to the back of the roller tube instead out front. Where I work people choose the carefree fabric because our supplier stocks them and for A&E fabric they have to pay shipping. The fabric price is the same. Then we install and have to alter the end cap and it is just guess work. Some times it works out and sometimes not. I am replacing my A&E fabric this fall and will go with A&E fabric.

I bought the Sun Wave replacement fabric from rvawningsmart.com. It's made in China and I don't think it's stain resistance is up to par. After having droppings from some trees, I found stains that would not come out. I made a cover out of white vinyl http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f6...ver-15299.html to go over it to prevent more stains and that vinyl is easier to clean.
