Anyone ever rent a tow vehicle?

Blew the transmission in our tow vehicle, and can't afford a new truck right now. Rather than dump more money into this older truck, I was thinking about putting it off...but I'd still want to take the Sunline out this summer!

Has anyone rented a vehicle to tow a camper? What options are there? I saw Enterprise 3/4 ton tow vehicles were for commercial rental only. I suppose I can start a business. But if anyone has any suggestions...

My parents had to rent a vehicle one time on a trip out west. Their jeep broke down in Wisconsin and they had to leave it at a dealer to get the transmission fixed. They rented a full size cargo van so they could pull their pop up, bikes and kayaks.

In Maryland, several uhaul dealers rent pretty nice looking f150s. I think it's 19.95 a day plus mileage.
