Lake in Wood Camping Resort / Camping in Pennsylvania This is my favorite campground in amish land it's on the expensive side but it's so nice there and you would be just down the road from Shady Maple :: Farm Market, Smorgasbord, Banquets & Catering! . Or you could stay at PA Campground | Cabin & RV Rentals | abcamping.com another very nice campground and a little cheaper rates plus it's down the road from shady maple and all the amish attractions.

I think White Oak is my least favorite Lancaster area campground. It's mostly seasonals. But it might be the only one with anything available at this last minute.
We like Beacon Hill in Intercourse because you can walk into the town, and are right next to an Amish farm, and on the road where buggies go by constantly. We also like Country Acres in Gordonville. It really depends on your focus. If you're there for the campground and its amenities, then the 2 above are nice, but not as close to Amish attractions. If you're there to tour Amish country, and the campground is secondary, then I'd chose Beacon Hill, followed by Country Acres.

Unfortunately, with next week being the 4th, you are going to be hard pressed to find an open spot anywhere in Lancaster County. It can be hard to find a last minute weekend throughout the summer, but the week of the fourth is going to be tough. Here's a listing of Lancaster County Campgrounds:

Campgrounds in Lancaster County Pennsylvania

Good Luck.
