I think White Oak is my least favorite Lancaster area campground. It's mostly seasonals. But it might be the only one with anything available at this last minute.
We like Beacon Hill in Intercourse because you can walk into the town, and are right next to an Amish farm, and on the road where buggies go by constantly. We also like Country Acres in Gordonville. It really depends on your focus. If you're there for the campground and its amenities, then the 2 above are nice, but not as close to Amish attractions. If you're there to tour Amish country, and the campground is secondary, then I'd chose Beacon Hill, followed by Country Acres.
