10 years...

Ten years ago today, in my search for any news articles or discussions on the recent events of Sunline's closure, I stumbled across a new website. A website I had no idea existed, it opened my eyes to online forums, even though there were only a few people posting at the time. I'm happy with how it has evolved over the last ten years and can't wait to see what the next ten bring us!

Wow, 10 years has gone by. Yes, our forum has grown and many of us have made lifelong friends from it that would never of been without Sunline Owners Club! Looking forward to the next 10.

Also sad we crossed over the 10 years of the closing of Sunline. Bummer.

Cool seeing the old flash page from the back when site.

Thanks

John

We were fortunate to receive our trailer on 31 October 2006,one of, if not the last, custom orders for Sunline. Seems like yesterday we were posting about our delivery.

A few years ago, I wondered what would become of the M&G's when members of the club moved on to other brands, but I now see it's the camaraderie enjoyed by all that keeps us going, SOB's or not and that's good to see.
Barbara and I have met so many friendly people at Buttonwood and we look forward to re-uniting with them every year. It's like we just pick up where we left off even though there's been a year separation. I now feel that there will be a time when a few hold-outs continue to show up in our Sunlines (notice I'm including us in there) while others move on to other brands, but there's no issue there, because it's the people that make a group, not the equipment we purchase.

As far as the website, I think there's enough similarities in all brands and enough hunger for information and with as good a group of people as we have here, 10 years and more should be not only possible but a good time to be had by all!
Merry Christmas,
Rich

Or even longer than a year!

And yes, I will be a hold out, and one day I really hope to show up in my dream Sunline!

We found this forum back in 2006 when we were looking for a TT. My wife found a 2004 Sunline 2499 on a dealer website in Michigan. We live across the border in Windsor ON. We had looked at Sunlines here on the forum and at dealers north of Toronto. We joined the Registry of Imported Vehicles and bought the Suinline which was brought to Canada on Dec. 11 2006. We had a small problem at first as we had to prove Sunline had closed production and it was on this site that we found what we needed. I have to say at the time with it coming over in Dec 2006 it was our "Baby" and we gave all we could to make the arrival a happy time. We have enjoyed some long and some short trips and even enjoy camping in our own yard. We have met some very nice people here and I do appreciate the help I have received when looking for repair hints. People like John Barca who is great to camp with also.
So Merry Christmas to all and if that isn't your cup of tea we wish you the very best of what you do in your part of the world.
Ted
