Salt Water Aquariums Does Any one Have 1

Hi there ,
My Name is Rich and was just wondering if there was anyone that fultimes with any type of aquariums,fresh or saltwater. I have a saltwater aquarium and have it for almost 3 years now, I have a 5th wheel that I live in and also a fifth wheel that I want to travel in. I am wanting to bring my tank with me an was just wondering if there is anyone as crazy as me and travels down the bumpy highways with a fish tank. It has taken me almost 3 yrs to get this nice traqual tank where all the fish and invertebrates get along.

The question is how do you do it without hurting the fish?

Man that doesn't sound doable I can't even drive down the road with a cup of coffee! I guess fish don't get sea sick but it seems keeping water in the tank and every thing in the tank from being sloshed around would be pretty much impossible. How did you plan to keep the tank put?

I have had a number of aquariums up to 250 gals.

You are just plain asking for lots of trouble IMO.

1) You are likely to blow the tank seams with water moving back and forth even a little, forget the sloshing.

2) as you travel the water sources will have a very varied PH levels making water changes a pain.

3) I think you should do it and report back as to how it goes. Take pictures.

I'm also worried about hills. Fishtanks are designed to be level, simply going up a hill will stress the seams on one side of the tank.

I moved with my freshwater fish some time ago and had success taking most of the water out, putting the fish in a rubbermaid bin with filter/heater, and putting the water/fish back into the tank at the other end, however if you have nice aquascaping this would be a pain.

If you do decide to do it, first read all the rotten floor posts on the board. Even the stuff that is supposed to be in the camper can cause a whole lot of headaches if leaks occur. Adding salt water and dead fish to the mix is really scary !! I'd think it's a recipe for disaster.
