RIP LaRue

It's with great sadness that I write all of you with the sad news that LaRue Lengel has passed away.

For those who don't know, LaRue was in charge of Sunline's customer service throughout the '90s and right up until the end in 2006. LaRue used her knowledge of past and present Sunlines very effectively. She touched the lives of a number of SunlineClub members, myself included.

I first met LaRue in July 2000 when I went on my first factory tour. She embraced me being the enthusiastic little kid that I was, obsessed with Sunline trailers and even gifted me with my first Sunline snowglobe and some patches. Over the years since, we would email back and forth and I'd bombard her with numerous Sunline questions. I wouldn't know most of what I do today about Sunlines if it wasn't for LaRue.

If anyone would like to read more about her, please visit the link below.

Feel free to comment below with some of your LaRue memories.

I spoke with her on the phone a few times back when Sublime was still in business, very helpful and pleasant.

Jon,

Thank you for posting this. I knew her from many phone conversations. What a pleasant and knowledgeable person. She was the voice of Sunline, at least towards the end, did not know when she started in that capacity.

I only knew her from 2003 until the end in 2006, and every time I contacted Sunline, she was the one who answered the phone and most times, took care of all the questions. If she did not know, she transferred you to engineering, the shop or service and parts. That personal type of true customer service Sunline had as a company, is hard to find anymore.

She was young, prayers to her family. We lost a good person.

John

Jon,

Thank-you for posting this.

Mary and I have very fond memories of LaRue, through are phone calls, emails and visits with her.

She was very instrumental in helping us find the 280SR we bought.

She was a special person and embodied the Sunline focus on customer service.
