Amps?

I’m new to the RV world. I’m going to look at a 2005 t-264sr and was wondering if anyone knew what amps it runs on. Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome!

When you plug into shore power (the power post at the campsite) a 2005 T264SR will plug into a 30 amp 120 volt AC outlet. The plug on the end of the camper cord is a special 30 amp 120 volt plug (the plug blades are configured for that amperage/voltage).

That is the max power it can run on. It often times uses less, but that is the max the camper is fused for.

Hope your search for the perfect sunny comes out well. The T264SR is a popular floor plan.

John

Thanks for the info. I was hoping it was 50 amp. Were any models made for 50 amp?

The travel trailers were all 30 amp as standard. The newer fifth wheels had 50 amp

In our files section are the sales brochures by camper year. There is a lot of specs in the brochures. You can look in advance of going to see the camper.

To get to the files section, you need to be logged into the forum.
At the top of the forum are tabs, look for the word "FILES" click it.

Once into the files section, scroll down to the "Sunline Brochures" section. Go in there and find a sale brochure for the camper year you are looking at and down load a copy. Empty camper tongue weights are shown there on most models. But remember, the tongue weight goes up from the brochure dry weight when you load the camper.

Hope this helps,

John

Got to ask why do you think need 50 amps? Some bigger newer campers have 2 AC units and other gadgets. Most houses with some age are 100 amp services and on a given day they might draw 30/40 amps. The 50 amp plugs are actual two 120 volt 25 amp circuits requiring a different breaker panel etc. and will not work on a lets say older campground system.
