I think it may look worst than it is. I think it is under the bed, which makes blending material floor wise a bit easier. If carpet (if applicable) hasn't gotten damaged it may very well be able to be put back down.

John good luck with this. Very surprised to hear this being we just saw each other.

I am not totally downtrodden as I have just come off a great weekend of camping with other New Englanders where I was inspired by the things others like Mainah have done to preserve their rigs.
Might not feel so good tomorrow when I yank the water heater.

The thick plastic under the camper is a double edge sword it holds water. I had damage to the floor in mine and had thought about small scuppers facing backwards kind of like a boat underneath. As it was I removed the insolation and did not bother to put it back in. If the water could get out I don’t think it would have done as much damage as it had.

Your right, that insolation soaks up water like a sponge and just holds it. There should be some type of one way device in the underbelly to allow water to drain out but not in.
Work on that mainah

Late to the party

I was just surfing and came across these posts.

My thought:

If there is any water involved this might work; cheap enough and worth a try. Using one of those larger tarps, cover as best as you can the portion of the trailer that is affected. (remember it has been advised not to use tarps to cover our TTs because they can trap moisture, so let put that theory to your advantage). Using duck tape seal off the tarp up the walls over the roof etc. This will be a sealed off tent of sorts. Yes, duck tape can leave some residue. Source out some cleaner prior to this approach, Googone works well. Yet, I'm sure the duck tape will lift cleanly, if not left on long term.

Next: placing a dehumidifier and fan under the tarp for a couple of days might/should help remove the moisture

Note: When my 2363 bathroom sink spill occured, I made 12-18" slits in the membrane, tore out the insulation, left open to dry for two weeks. Luckily I got to it immediatey so it didn't wick,or otherwise wet, the wood. HD had the right size thickness insulation (for 2x4 studs) and it fit right in. There is a special tape, not cheap, you can buy online-peel and stick type made of same membrane material. I forget the name but sure I posted it somewhere. Great stuff! I have also seen it on Ebay.

The tape is called "Flex Mend". Looks like this. Come in varying widths

I have heard some folks have found this at Home Depot/Lowes. I bought mine online from a mobile home parts place not knowing the big box stores had them. OR later added them.
