New Forum Software
As you can see we have converted to another forum software system. Although the data import has been completed we have LOTS of little tweaks that need to be completed. Please hang tight while we clean up after this major conversion.
If you have questions or comments please post them here.
Regards,
Andy

Is there a tab for "Posts since last visit" found on the previous version of the site?

I'm going to reserve opinion until I decide if I can get as comfortable with this version as I was with the last.
Will there be a "preview" option before posting? Will we be getting the avatar/faces that were with the previous software?

I found a similar tab to Posts since last visit under quick links "Posts today" I do like the consistent sizing of pictures.
Still learning....

Look on the upper white bar for a link to new posts.

After you have typed your reply, scroll down a little to see the Preview post button (next to submit reply).

The forum posts are very narrow for me at the moment.

OK, since I can't use a hammer or a saw to figure this new change out, I guess I will be drivin' Gary nuts for a while helping me figure it out.

Ask if you have questions. It takes a little time to get used to new layout and features....

Frank,
I believe you have to go to the [Go Advanced] to be able to preview your post. (i.e., button next to the [Post Quick Reply] button)
I don't believe you can preview your post when doing a " Post Quick Reply"
Janet - is this correct?

Yes. Clicking go advanced will take you to a reply editor with many more formatting tools and the post preview function. From the advanced editor, you can upload images, format fonts and add smilies.

It leaves room for the extras, on the right side of the page.

Way too much room. Maybe it would be ok if I had a 23 inch wide screen monitor but I don't.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry that the page layout did not look good on your screen. I have made some changes to the template to allow you to disable the right hand column. To do so please visit the User CP (User Control Panel) >> Edit Your Details page and scroll all the way to the bottom for the option titles "Turn off Right Column". Switch that to Off and then Save Changes and the right column will disappear.

Thank you Andy. This helps. Those of us with tri focals...bigger is better....
As FYI. I also had to fill out my birthday and mark it private in order for the change to take. If not it would come back with an invalid birthday error and not accept the screen change.
John

Andy.....
I'm seconding John's gratitude for your responsiveness (....it even helps BIFOCAL wearers).

Than you Andy, much easier to read an more like other VB forums I visit. Maybe the "right column" info could go at the bottom like so many others do.
