Simple answer ... Don't "Log Out".
VB gives that message when you click the log out link and does clear your cookies. Other forum software doesn't give that message.

This would work. If you don't log out your cookies are not cleared but you will be disconnected from the server after a a period of inactivity.

Whoa! I haven't been on in awhile! I logged in to get an update on the M/G and check PM's. My PM's say I have 28 unread messages, all dated 1969, with no topic or who they're from. I wasn't even around then! Should I delete them or is there a code to unlock them?

Check your inbox and sent folders first to make sure there are none you want to keep. If not, it's probably safe to delete those.

Several other forums that I frequent use the same software, so this transition is pretty much painless for me.
However, I don't think my signature pic is showing even though I have uploaded one. I don't find any place in the CP to turn that feature on or off so I am guessing that it is always on and automatically shows the pic if there is one.

Steve, I think I have it taken care of for you. You are limited to six lines I believe for your sig, so I had to delete the space after the first line. I'm not sure if the six lines means six lines in the entry box or six lines in the end on the forum. But anyway, you can see how to do it now. Unfortunately I don't think you can easily link in your photobucket, but I'm not sure.

No problem. Basically I just had to upload it as a profile picture, and then put those sig pic commands in your signature box. So if you want to change it at some point, I think all you'd do is upload the new one there, and it would automatically be put in your signature.
Unfortunately I don't think this would allow for the second pic of your name signature, because it resizes them and if you made it all one pic, everything would be really small.
