Yeah...thought about it after I pulled the trigger on my post...a knuckle buster waiting to happen, LOL. I think I will take it to the shop that did my floor repair and let them do it right. Thanks...

Thanks Jon...fortunately the only damage is the 1 ft tear in the awning. I was assuming that I could pull the mechanism partly out, secure it, slide the damaged awning off then slide the new one in....

Hi all,

The wind got a hold of our awning today and ripped it for a foot right at the roller. I will need to replace it and would like some feed back for those that have done this....best fabric...
