We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 with Hemi 5.7l engine. The published towing capacity is 7200#. I am not sure why Steve is saying the towing capacity is about 5400# unless that is just an example....

Interestingly, the 2001, with unloaded weight of 6075, has a gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000. The 2005 has unloaded weight of 6600 and gross vehicle...
