Took some more photos. I was wrong about that support. The tank is totally held up by metal bars that run the length of the tank between the I-beams.

It was leaking outside from the top of the tank where the sink drain pipe goes in. It was a good amount of water, not just a trickle. Once I drained the tank, we could still use the kitchen sink...
