If you can find the two outlets on either side of the short, disconnect one and pull a new line through to the other.

Check your breaker panel box. Should be labelled...

Check your breaker panel box. Should be labelled for each circuit of outlets. Some are appliance, some are general purpose. Should be one for microwave also.
