OK that is where I put my DIN mount radio (in the now fixed in place bunk bed) the wires are nowhere near that location they are inside the cabinet over the sink the space between the cabinet doors...

It would have to had been mighty small it's only 5" wide! I'm guessing a 27 year old radio was rather large modern DIN is 7"X2".
