I don't mean to throw a little water on your 1.7 amp per 24 hour fan just trying to make sure you have enough battery. Amp are rated per hour as are watts so 1.7 amps per 24 hours is about .07 amps...

I can run my camper with a 100 watt panel during the summer this of course is not running a heater and the sun is high in the sky. Get what you can afford I would shoot for 200 watts or better....
