Henry and Karen reserved site C8 for FSS.

Since our C7 was already taken, I took the liberty of booking C8 as it is also one of the few that doesn't have the sewer opening sticking up out of the ground--not good for low trailers, especially when trying to use a Flush King as well.

Let me know if you'd rather have C8 for a group site again--maybe not a good idea since C7 is now a non-Sunline--although we were all really well behaved--or should we take our chances that a group site might be available as would have been the case this year??

For anyone else thinking of going, the person at the counter said they hold the site without deposit and that we should call in Jan. to confirm the reservation and make a deposit. So, for now, no money is involved. This is a really nice and very popular park and will likely be just as full next year as it was this weekend.

Thanks again, PAHutch and MAHutch for all your work and looking after this again. It was a great weekend.

Henry

P.S. Karen will get some recipes up in that forum by next week maybe.

WNY M & G

Hi Tom:

I just spoke with Kathy at Southwoods and Lorie and I have reserved site 8M for Friday and Saturday nights. It's really nice that you can reserve a site and not have it go on your credit card until after the holidays.

I just had the camper winterized and I'm already looking forward to next year's camping season.

Kathy,

I'm going to wait to see how many people sign up and if there is any interest in doing that.
Right now the plan is not to get a M&G site, but, because the sites are wider, we may just use someone's site (possibly our site) as the site to eat at, etc.

So any site is open to reserve.

Hutch

Hi Hutch

I connected with Sue today. Had to use the alternate number on the recording which is her cell phone since no one is in the office.

So we are reserved for Friday and Saturday night checking out on Sunday.

However there is a site move. We are in M14. M12 has a seasonal month rental on it.

When I gave Sue my work phone number, she says, h’mm that number is familiar. Come to find out she just retired from the company I work for last year…. It’s a small world!

OK today was ground hog day and Buckeye Chuck says it is only 6 more weeks till spring. But the other gopher in PA says we are in for 6 more weeks of winter… H’mm better stay camping in OH….. What does the NY furry critter predict? What ever it is these camping blues are getting pretty bad now…. Our last time out was right after Thanksgiving and that is a long stretch for us.

Come on spring!!

John

We are now booked for this M&G. Got a call back from the Campground today and they put us on site M12. I mentioned that I thought this site was not available and they said it was available so they booked me on it. We will be arriving on the Friday night and departing on Sunday.

Hey Bill,

Excellent, looking forward to see you and Debbie and that new FW of yours'. So, we picked a date where you won't be at Webster Park - or is your FW too big now to fit in there

M12 must have come available recently, because I know last Sept it was reserved and I think JohnB tried to reserve that site when he reserved and they told him it wasn't available. Glade it came available and you got it.

See you in June (@ Buttonwood) and Sept.

2009 ended up being the last year for the gathering we use to attend at Webster Park. When reviewing our camping calendar this week I realized we had a weekend unbooked in September and thought I would check to see when this M&G was. Since all the planets seemed to line up I called and was able to book a site.

I was surprised when I was told the site was available after reading John's post about not getting the site.

Definitely looking forward to seeing you again in June and September.

Sorry to hear about the Webster Park gathering ending.
But I guess its end is our gain

If you ever plan to go to Webster Park - let us know, we'll meet you there, though the 4 mile drive there could be an issue for us

Hi all,

We have booked site M16. We wanted to be on the sunny side this time. While we are Canadian and should be used to the cold, we tend to seek out the sun at every opportunity.

Looking forward to meeting and greeting everyone again.

henryj mentions that the sewer connections, in general, stick out of the ground at this park. Since my Sunline sits low, I know that would present a problem. Are there any available sites that have low sewer connections?

I do not know the park yet myself, be there in Sept. however I have had issues with my prior T2499 on parks that met State health codes of the pipe needing to be 6" above grade. They must think a flood is coming....

I had to bring enough 2 x 8" to go 2 boards high on all 4 wheels. That extra 3 1/2" was enough to rasie the entire camper to allow me to have down hill flow. We had some parks here in Ohio like that as well.

Hope you can work out something and be able to make it. You tow West and I'll tow East and maybe we will meet in the middle....

The M & G's are great!

John

Yes, it makes you wonder what purpose is served by septic hookups that high. A flood alright, maybe the Great Flood! LOL!
I do have a pair of boards now so it wouldn't be a big problem to get another pair. That would definitely do the trick. I would like to attend one of the M&G's, that one might work out!
