My 1978 Datsun Sunliner Mini - MotorHome

Hello Gang , heres a few pictures of my 1978 Datsun Mini Motorhome, for all you mini lovers! I've owned it quite a few years , but I 've actually never seen it in person, becuase I am a Canadian living in Canada , and the Datsun resides at my second home in California. ( I've never seen the California house in person either, but when I retire I will .)
In spite of never seeing it I know quite a bit about it, becuase my older brother who is retired, has been through the USA numerous times and he's swung through California to check it out. In fact he did some mechanical work on the Datsun for me, so that its nearly roadworthy again. Thats in case I decide to have it driven up to my Canadian home , sometime before I go south.
I happened upon this Forum today for the first time in a long time and did not find many posts on these old Datsuns , so decided you guys might enjoy to see the pictures. This unit has an amazingly low 11,000 original miles, and it has resided in California its entire life , hense no rust or water issues. It does have lots of high heat damage inside the motorhome section though, the 120F desert heat has practically melted the interior !

PPS: Welcome to the 1970's !!! When men were men, and plaid was...everywhere ... my dad ( long passed) had a pair of pants EXACTLY matching those seat cushions, and he wore them WELL into the 1990's , oh gosh it was painful being with him in public , ah hah haaha !!! |
